Was sind Zecken?
Zecken sind kleine Spinnentiere, die auf der Haut von Tieren und Menschen parasitieren. Sie sind weltweit verbreitet und kommen in verschiedenen Arten vor. Zecken leben in Wäldern, Grasland und Gebüsch und warten auf einem Grashalm oder Blatt auf ein geeignetes Wirtstier. Sobald ein Wirtstier vorbeikommt, greifen sie ihn mit ihren Beißwerkzeugen an und bohren sich in die Haut, um Blut zu saugen.
Zecken können verschiedene Krankheiten auf den Menschen übertragen, wie zum Beispiel Lyme-Borreliose, Frühsommer-Meningoenzephalitis (FSME) und Rickettsiosen. Es ist wichtig, sich vor Zeckenbissen zu schützen und sich regelmäßig auf Zecken zu untersuchen, insbesondere nach einem Aufenthalt in der Natur. Warum Kokosöl?
Kokosöl gegen Zecken ist eine natürliche Methode zur Zeckenabwehr bei Hunden, Katzen und Menschen.
Der hohe Anteil an Laurinsäure im Kokosöl schreckt Zecken ab und kann deshalb vorbeugend gegen Zeckenstiche wirken.
Laurinsäure im Kokosöl: Wirksam gegen Zecken
Im Kokosöl findet sich eine hohe Konzentration an Laurinsäure, auch Dodecansäure genannt, die mittlerweile für ihre Wirksamkeit gegen Zecken bekannt ist. Laurinsäure gehört zu den mittelkettigen Fettsäuren, die in Studien wie dieser gezeigt haben, dass sie Zecken abzuschrecken scheinen. Spezifisch auf die Laurinsäure konzentrierte sich auch eine Studie der FU Berlin, die in Versuchen nachweisen konnte, dass bereits zehnprozentige Laurinsäure 81 bis 100 Prozent der Zecken dazu brachte, von der Testoberfläche abzulassen.
Welches ist das beste Kokosöl gegen Zecken?
Das beste Kokosöl gegen Zecken ist kaltgepresstes, unraffiniertes und biologisches Kokosöl, da es eine hohe Konzentration an Laurinsäure enthält (in der Regel 45 bis 60 Prozent), die als natürlicher Zeckenabwehrstoff eine hohe Wirksamkeit besitzt.
Beachten Sie jedoch, dass die Effektivität von Kokosöl gegen Zecken von verschiedenen Faktoren abhängt und möglicherweise nicht für jeden gleich wirksam ist. Verwenden Sie das Kokosöl deshalb am besten in Kombination mit anderen Schutzmaßnahmen gegen Zecken, wie dem gründlichen Absuchen der Hautpartien nach Aufenthalten im Freien.

Zutaten:
– 50 g Sheabutter– 20 g NARDIAS Kokosöl– 30 ml Jojobaöl
– 20 Tropfen ätherisches Zitronenöl- 20 Tropfen ätherisches Teebaumöl- 20 Tropfen ätherisches Lavendelöl
Anleitung:
1. Schmelzen Sie die Sheabutter in einem Doppelkessel oder in der Mikrowelle.
2. Fügen Sie das Jojobaöl hinzu und rühren Sie gut um.
3. Geben Sie die ätherischen Öle hinzu und rühren Sie erneut um, bis alles gut vermischt ist.4. Gießen Sie die Mischung in eine Glas- oder Plastikdose und lassen Sie sie abkühlen.5. Verwenden Sie die Creme auf unbedeckten Hautstellen, bevor Sie ins Freie gehen.Hinweis: Verwenden Sie diese Creme als Ergänzung zu anderen Maßnahmen zum Schutz vor Zecken, wie lange Kleidung und Insektenschutzmittel.
